Then came the notice from blogspot that they would no longer support direct email for blog post distribution. That changed how blog distribution works.
In the previous version of the service I could create my post in an app on my phone, proof and edit it, and then publish it to the blog. The blogger system would then automatically send a copy to every subscriber via email. This is the part that has gone away.
I considered many ways of automating this to resemble the old service but each solution had many additional steps and took time to implement.
This may sound trivial (it really is) but I decided it was more than I wanted to do on a regular basis. As you have witnessed I was already posting less and less frequently. Adding even more steps to publishing and distribution was not appealing to me at all. I felt like I had a job again, with process to follow and a schedule to meet. I just honestly wasn't up for that.
So after a long deliberation I have decided to discontinue the blog. Going forward I will post regular check-ins and posts on Facebook. I hope this will help those who are interested follow along and know where we are. I know it's not the same but honestly may provide more informative and timely information about our journey.
