Life in general, RV projects and the source of Corona?

Let me start by saying we are both well and actually enjoying our semi-isolation. We are staying in Texas for the summer since we have so many venues available to us for camping, and at least so far, the weather has been fantastic.

After 3 weeks at Colorado River TT in Columbus TX we spent a couple of days at Lake Georgetown ACOE park Cedar Breaks. This is one of our favorite parks of all times where we used to camp frequently with the kids.  There is a beautiful trail that starts at the park and goes about 7 miles into the city square of the city of Georgetown.

In the past we have bicycled this path into the city where we always hit a quaint little ice cream parlor with the kids. This time we thought we would try hiking it.

Long story short, we hiked about 5.5 miles, stopped for a picnic lunch and decided perhaps we were approaching our limit in the 90 degree heat. So by the time we got home we had amassed just shy of 11 miles that day. We were beat at the end, but it is such a beautiful trail we would gladly do it again.

From there we moved North to where we are now. Lake Whitney TT is a beautiful park just outside Whitney TX or about 40 minutes east of Waco.

This park also has some great hiking in the campground, and we have also been hitting Lake Whitney SP for some additional trails.

When we are not hiking we have both been getting some projects done on the RV. Believe it or not we have been in the Winnebago View now for over a year. That means we have seen some things we want to improve or rearrange and this has been the perfect time to get it done.

On Cindy's list has been reorganization and clutter removal. Even as much as we got rid of when we downsized from the Entegra into this rig, we found that after a year there are things we just have never used. So we are holding a yard sale at our site and getting rid of a few things.

On my list has been projects to further automate and enhance the operation of the coach with a goal of being able to operate everything in the coach from the bed 😁 (kidding of course).

I have taken the approach of utilizing my smart phone to manage and monitor everything possible. I can now manage the heat and AC, control the awning and outside lights, see the temperature outside and in the fridge, check the level of the coach, control the sound system inside and out,  check the propane level, and control all facets of my batteries, solar and charging systems.  And all of this is via Bluetooth on my phone. I am geeking on all of this 🤓

As well I moved our tote tank to a bracket on my rear ladder and installed a new TPMS on the coach and Jeep. I also installed a brake light in the windshield of the Jeep that I can see in my RV rear camera when towing so I can be sure the brakes and lights on the Jeep are working when underway.

Oh and I have washed and waxed both vehicles several times ☹️.

We also did a unique project to create a little more versital area for watching movies and TV. Our two captains chairs in the cab of the coach swivel around to face the living area. The trouble was when sitting there we had no place for a drink or even to set the remotes. So we converted our trash can to a side table by building a table top with cup holders to set between the two seats. It really make this area perfect for watching a movie.

Finally, and you won't hear about this on CNN, I think we may have made an amazing discovery on one of our hikes.

Check out this picture. I might be wrong but this sure looks like the pictures I have seen of the Corona virus. Could it be that it all started from a plant in Texas? 😁

That's it for now. Just wanted to let everyone know we are doing fine, staying safe and having a good time. I sincerely hope the same is true for you and yours.

Thanks for reading. Stay safe!
